\nHey everyone. Things have been a little dark here as i’ve been busy yammering about on the Twitters and Facebooks about the new book. The new book seems to be doing well, and I cannot be more grateful about that. At this point, what I can hope for is that if someone found the book useful, they should tell a friend. That always helps – and I thank you for it.<\/p>\n

The other reason things have been dark is that I was busy writing book 2 for our friends over at Peachpit. This book is called “The HDR Book” and will deal with shooting, editing, and (most important) the post process of the HDR image. I’ll share more of that with you as it starts getting near.<\/p>\n

I turned the book into our team on Thursday and was sooo ready for a little bit of a break. My buddy Moose Peterson had asked me about coming down and being a guest instructor at his DLWS series. Last time I did it, re rocked Yosemite, CA. This time.. he hs the crew out making some cool pictures out in Kauai, Hawaii. Man this couldn’t come at a better time!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I’d never been to Hawaii, so I was really excited to check out what kind of potential there was to do some shooting. Jenn had already pre-prepared me by saying that Hawaii one of the most beautiful places on earth, and I have to agree with her. The texures and colors and vibe here are just amazing.<\/p>\n

The shot above and to the right are done from a Catamaran ride the crew did out to the Na Pali coast. On our way there we did some whale watching and dolphin watching. One we got to the coast, we dropped anchor and had a small picnic while others snorkled. It’s just really serene and amazing scene, and one that I really think I needed..
\nThe weather has been a little challenging this morning, but there’s something to be said about just waking up to the real sounds of the pacific.. watching the clouds come in.<\/p>\n
