Giovanni D’Italia: The Cobbler’s Corner
I was driving back to my friends house from doing the shoot at the Elysian Cafe in Hoboken, when I had him immediately stop the car. Out of the corner of my eye I saw this shoe shop on the corner of 7th and Garden called Giovanni D’Italia. As we drove I noticed that there was just so much going on in such a little store- I HAD to get out of the car and try for a shot.

Ipad in hand I went to see if I can explain what kind of image I wanted to make and how long it would take me. As much as I was prepared to show my work to help move the No to a Yes, I was immediately met with a warm Yes from Giovanni, the owner of the store. Quickly I went back to the car and got the tripod out. The shot is series of 5 shot bursts in about 4 sections, put back together and post-worked in Photoshop.

As much as I love this image on screen, this is DEFINITELY one of those that’s going to need to be seen muuch bigger. I think this may be one of those “I have to take it to APC” moments to really show it off! The image below is the actual panoramic of it.
